Imagine, if you will, an entire society educated to never stop learning and to always strive to achieve their goals. The entire citizenry of such a nation would soon become the most affluence, best educated, wealthiest and healthiest nation that has ever existed. Such is not the case, however, for the American nation. This dumbing down of generations has been done deliberately. Both political parties are to blame and are responsible, for they each know and believe that the American people could actually think, none of them would stand a chance to ever be elected. The poor education system is also entirely to blame for our poor leaders.
Public education teaches children to hate learning. So much so that it’s very rare to find your average person actually reading something that teaches them anything new. They’ll read the latest trash fiction that keeps their mind a pile of useless mush. But ask them to read something outside their profession and you’ll hit a wall. You’ll get an answer similar to “I read that stuff in high school. I don’t have to read that stuff anymore.” It’s a tragedy that so few people never pick up a book after they leave High School. Only 7% of the American people have a library card.

Public education teaches children to follow the same path as everyone else. To stand in the same lines. To go to the same vacation spots. To vote the same way. To not rock the boat. To be a drone, middle and that doesn’t think or act any differently than their friends, neighbors and coworkers. The few individuals who question the system or try to think outside the box or to think at all our forced to take some sort of drug that keeps them from thinking. Drugs such as Ritalin are actually destroying the geniuses amongst our children.
Parents are also to blame, and it’s not totally their fault. They have been through the same robot factory as their children. They don’t know any better than their own training. That’s the main reason why parents discouraged children from doing anything differently that they did in their lives. It’s not just a fear of failure. It’s a 95% mentality that keeps them poor and ignorant of what they could do if they applied themselves and went for their dreams. It’s a sad state of affairs that I’m afraid is not going to change.
